The grave of Michele Gesualdi, a student of Don Lorenzo Milani and co-author of ''Lettera a una professoressa,'' is seen at the cemetery of Barbiana in Vicchio, Tuscany, Italy, on April 7, 2026. The white marble cross bears the inscription ''Michele Gesualdi / n. 21.12.1943 / m. 18.1.2018 / Michele di Barbiana'' and a dedication noting his involvement with Don Lorenzo Milani in the religious, educational, and scholastic experience of Barbiana. Gesualdi was one of the original Barbiana school students and a key figure in the Fondazione Don Lorenzo Milani. Yellow tulips and white flowers surround the tomb.
