Visitors thronged to the popular weekend outing spot, located in Dhaka's Mirpur on August 27, 2021. The zoo over an area of 186 acres houses 135 species of animals. There are currently a total number of 3,150 animals, which was 2,740 just six months ago -- a significant increase due to the Covid-19 closure.

Ifrah Ahmed, a Somali-Irish living in Dublin, at the end of Maghrib, the fourth of the five required daily prayers, inside her apartment on the second day of Ramadan, during the COVID-19 lockdown. Due to the engoing lockdown restrictions and closures, all religious sites remain closed in order to minimase the spread of COVID-19.
