Ten Nepali students die in the October 2023 attack by Hamas in Israeli territories. Joshi is one of the abducted foreign nationals whose whereabouts are yet to be ascertained. Joshi, along with other Nepali students, is in Israel's Kibbutz (near the Gaza area) from Sudurpaschim University under the learn and earn program of the Israeli government during the attack.
