The Lilac borer moth larva (Podosesia syringae) is in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on July 09, 2025. The Lilac borer larvae, also known as ash borer larvae, are the immature, destructive stage of the lilac borer moth. They tunnel into the wood of lilac, ash, and privet trees, feeding on the phloem and outer sapwood. This feeding activity weakens the tree, creating tunnels that can be up to 32 cm long. The tunnels can lead to dieback, branch breakage, and potentially the death of the tree, especially if the tree is already stressed.

The 28-spotted Potato Ladybird or the Hadda Beetles (Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata) are destroying a bitter gourd (Momordica charantia) plant by breaking off and eating its flowers, and their larvae grubs are scraping the leaves together by the lower epidermis of leaves in a characteristic manner, leaving behind stripes of uneaten areas. The leaves are giving a stifled appearance and are being eaten off, leaving only the veins intact (skeletonization), and the plants may wither. Sometimes these beetle pairs are mating in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on July 6, 2024.

Dipteran Larvae, Also Known As Maggots Or Grubs, Are The Larvae Of Flies. They Are Distinguished From Most Other Insects By Their Lack Of Segmented Thoracic Legs. Diptera Order Of Insects Includes House Fly, Fruit Fly Etc. Instead Of The Traditional Jointed Legs, Many Groups Have One Or More Pairs Of Fleshy, Locomotory Prolegs On The Thorax And/or Abdomen, Each With Curved Or Even Hook-like Spines. Dipteran Larvae Spoiled A Cucumber (Cucumis Sativus) From The Inside At Tehatta, West Bengal; India On 24/01/2024.
