Bangladesh sets a new world record by performing the largest-ever parachuting display while carrying the national flag during Victory Day celebrations marking 54 years of independence. A total of 54 paratroopers of ''Team Bangladesh,'' each carrying the national flag, perform a skydiving display to commemorate the occasion. Paratroopers numbered 49 to 54 carry the names of six Bangladeshi peacekeepers who are killed in Sudan, honoring their sacrifice. The event is organized jointly by the Bangladesh Army, Air Force, and Navy.
