This man has escaped from Iraq and all his family, consisting of six people including a boy with Down syndrome and the elderly mother of 94, to escape the persecution of the Islamic State because they are Yazidis. The yazidica is one of the oldest religions in living memory, at least 4,000 years old, to the point of being defined by many scholars "the museum of oriental cults." E 'it practiced by about half a million people, primarily in Iraq but also in Syria, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia and Iran. Yazidis worship "a fallen angel" (the "devil"), which they represented as a peacock. And what has earned them the nickname of "Satan worshipers", resulting in persecution and repeated massacres. The Yazidis are a peaceful people and tolerant. I am circumcised like the Jews worship the sun and believe in the transmigration of souls. They also believe in the existence of a good God, Khoda, god of light, and an evil god, Auz-Melek, the god-peacock considered by those who persecute them the devil.
