At least 26 tourists die on April 22 when gunmen open fire on a group of tourists in Pahalgam, in what officials describe as the most serious civilian attack in the region in recent years. The valley, nestled in the Himalayan mountains, now begins to show signs of a tourism revival.

A Canadair (Viking Air 415, known as Canadair CL-415) aircraft operated by Vigili del Fuoco prepares for another pass over the wildfire zone near Otranto, in the southern region of Puglia, Italy, on July 10, 2025. -The blaze, fueled by strong maestrale winds, scorched over 150 hectares of vegetation along the Adriatic coast. Two Canadairs and ground crews from the Fire Brigade, Civil Protection, ARIF, and the Air Force were dispatched to extinguish it.

The word ''Kalut'' refers to a natural landform created by wind erosion in arid desert environments. Kaluts are large ridge-like or tower-shaped formations made from compacted sand and soil, sculpted over time by strong desert winds.
