Palu, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia (April 9): An artist performed to mark his rejection of the planned construction of the Palu Bay embankment in the Nemu Buku Library, Palu, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Some elements of the community rejected the plan to construct the Palu Bay embankment as recommended by the Japan International Cooperative Agency (JICA ) in Palu's post-tsunami rehabilitation and reconstruction master plan because it was considered a failure in Japan and they suggested planting mangroves along the bay as natural dykes which proved to be more able to withstand tsunami waves.
