Global demand for palm oil continues to increase, driven by its widespread use in a variety of industries, from food (cooking oil, margarine), oleochemicals (cosmetics, soap), to biofuels. Global demand for vegetable oils is projected to continue to soar, with palm oil becoming the preferred choice due to its much higher productivity compared to other vegetable oils, making it more competitive and sustainable in terms of land use. Although domestic consumption also increases, palm oil export volumes are expected to remain significant in 2025, underscoring the importance of the role of collectors in ensuring smooth supply from plantations to the global market.

Every year PDS Brasilia is invaded by criminal burnings that burn property and threaten animals.
