A vehicle step is covered with snow as a massive snowstorm hits in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on January 25, 2026. Environment Canada issues Orange Alert Winter Storm Warnings for several communities in the Greater Toronto Area. Environment Canada updates the snow accumulation estimate, saying that 50 to 60 centimetres of snow are expected to fall before the system moves out tonight. Forecasters say peak snowfall rates of five to seven centimetres per hour are possible, with gusting winds of 50 km/h and reduced visibility due to blowing snow.
