Followers of Sufi orders observe the event starting from the month of Sha'ban, with the grand finale taking place on the night of mid-Sha'ban. The celebrations feature stick fighting (Tahteeb), traditional folk music (Mizmar Baladi), horse races (Mirmah), recreational games, as well as religious chanting, praise poetry, and supplications.
