The Tarahumara indigenous community kills a cow to celebrate a Yumare. A Yumare is a special celebration that the Tarahumara community holds to commemorate special occasions, in this case, the 10-year anniversary of the village school. Before it is built, children have to walk up to 4 hours to get to school. Most Tarahumara women live in the Sierra of Chihuahua, Mexico. Without electricity or running water, they live in sync with the environment and nature in an ancestral way. They fight to be recognized for more than the media has portrayed, such as being super runners.
