Castellers De Vilafranca In Mexico

The Castellers de Vilafranca from Catalonia are performing in the Zocalo of Mexico City, presenting the creation of human towers, a unique cultural tradition from Europe with more than 200 years of history, in front of a monumental flag. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Castellers de Vilafranca, and they are celebrating by visiting Mexico, a country that shares historical bonds of friendship with Catalonia, especially as a place of exile and welcome for many Catalans after the Spanish Civil War from 1936-1939.
