Iran-Caspian Miniature Horse
A Caspian miniature horse (R) and its 14-day-old foal are being seen in a garden near the city of Karaj, 45km (28 miles) northwest of Tehran, on May 1, 2009. The Caspian miniature horse, also known as the Iranian horse or the Persian miniature horse, is a small and elegant breed native to Iran. These horses are characterized by their refined appearance, spirited nature, and compact size, typically standing at an average height of around 32 to 38 inches. They are mainly found in the northern region and the forests of the Caspian area, specifically in Mazandaran and Gilan provinces. (Photo by Morteza Nikoubazl/NurPhoto)
