King Crab Fishing In Kirkenes
Two fishermen are manipulating a net to catch several king crabs during a fishing trip in Jentoftbukta Bay in Kirkenes, Norway, on January 13, 2024. The king crab (Paralithodes camtschaticus) is known to be one of the largest crabs in the world. Kirkenes, located at the northeastern tip of Norway and in the Barents Sea region, offers excellent fishing opportunities for this crustacean. The cold, nutrient-rich waters provide a perfect habitat for the species.
