Protest Against Changes In TVP In Krakow

Ryszard Majdzik and Barbara Nowak are protesting against changes in public media and in defense of Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik near Wawel Castle in Krakow, Poland, on January 18, 2024. The new coalition government's changes to the public media are leading to protests by PiS supporters. Personnel changes and the president's veto on the budget-related bill are resulting in the occupation of the public television's headquarters by PiS party politicians and in TVP being put into liquidation. In solidarity with Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik, who are being detained by the police, protesters are organizing near Wawel and then moving to the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany.
