Protest Against Changes In TVP In Krakow
Barbara Nowak is protesting against changes in public media and in defense of Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik near Wawel Castle in Krakow, Poland, on January 18, 2024. The new coalition government's changes in the public media have sparked protests by PiS supporters. The personnel changes and the president's veto on a budget-related bill have resulted in PiS party politicians occupying the public television's headquarters and the liquidation of TVP. In solidarity with Mariusz Kaminski and Maciej Wasik, who have been detained by the police, the protesters organized a demonstration near Wawel and then proceeded to the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany.
