Ceremony In Paris To Pay Tribute To The 42 French Citizens Killed In Israel
Members of the French far-right Rassemblement National (RN) party, including Member of Parliament Laurent Jacobelli (second from left), are attending a ceremony in the courtyard of the Hotel des Invalides in Paris, France, on February 7, 2024. The ceremony is being held to pay tribute to the 42 French citizens who were killed, as well as to all the victims of the Hamas assault on Israel that took place on October 7, four months after the attacks. The conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas is ongoing in the Gaza enclave. The tribute also honors the French and French-Israeli citizens who were killed in the attack by Hamas and the three others who are still missing and believed to be held hostage.
