Fat Thursday In Ruvo Di Puglia

Bearers are carrying the calzone di Ruvo in traditional attire through the historic center of Ruvo di Puglia on the occasion of Maundy Thursday, February 8, 2024. The Pro Loco of Ruvo di Puglia, with the support of the Municipality, is organizing the feast of the calzone di Ruvo as the first event of Carnival. Local restaurateurs are preparing the long calzone typical of Ruvo, and it is being carried, almost in a procession, from a well-known bakery to Menotti Garibaldi Square, where it will be tasted.
