Bakers are distributing the calzone di Ruvo in the historic center of Ruvo di Puglia on the occasion of Maundy Thursday, February 8, 2024. On this occasion, marking the first event of Carnival, the Pro Loco of Ruvo di Puglia, with the support of the Municipality, is organizing the feast of the calzone di Ruvo. This long calzone, typical of Ruvo, is being prepared by local restaurateurs and is being carried, almost in procession, from a well-known bakery to Menotti Garibaldi Square, where it is being tasted.
