The Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, through the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), has initiated the Green Housing Financing Program (Indonesia Green Affordable Housing Program/IGAHP), targeting low-income communities. The program, which is set to commence in 2024, includes adaptation, mitigation, certification, and green housing financing, as explained by the Director General of Public Works and Public Housing Infrastructure Financing (DJPI) at the Ministry of PUPR, Herry Trisaputra Zuna. Implemented in collaboration with stakeholders in the housing finance sector, IGAHP aims to save a minimum of 20% of water, reduce energy consumption by at least 20%, and cut the greenhouse effect by 29%.
