Yellow Traffic Light Is Activated Due To Heat Wave And Phase 1 Of Atmospheric Environmental Contingency Due To Ozone In Mexico City

A person is standing on the Cerro de la Estrella in Mexico City, observing a significant haze amidst the Yellow Traffic Light conditions caused by a heat wave and Phase 1 of the Atmospheric Environmental Contingency due to ozone. This was announced by the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAMe) after recent days saw high ozone concentrations. Despite the announcement, the pollution haze remains clearly visible from elevated areas in the Valley of Mexico. The capital is also experiencing high temperatures ranging between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius. (Photo by Gerardo Vieyra/NurPhoto)
