Yellow Traffic Light Is Activated Due To Heat Wave And Phase 1 Of Atmospheric Environmental Contingency Due To Ozone In Mexico City
People are walking with their pets on the Cerro de la Estrella in Mexico City, while a significant haze is visible during the Yellow Traffic Light due to a heat wave and Phase 1 of the Atmospheric Environmental Contingency for ozone, as announced by the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis (CAMe). This comes after recent days saw high ozone concentrations, and despite the pollution haze still being very visible from elevated areas in the Valley of Mexico, coupled with high temperatures in the capital ranging between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius.
