In the Philippines, these already cooked eggs are being colored a very deep pink to differentiate them from chicken eggs and are being called itlog na maalat, which simply means salty eggs. The Taste of Manila Food Festival is taking place in the area popularly known as Little Manila and is the largest Filipino food festival in Toronto.
