Massive Russian attack damages Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and Mystetskyi Arsenal in Kyiv

Sunlight illuminates the dark interior of the Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra in Kyiv, Ukraine, on June 15, 2026. The cathedral caught fire during a large-scale military operation involving missiles and strike drones. Five people are reported dead and 28 injured, including children and a pregnant woman. At least 140,000 consumers are without electricity due to damage to power grids.
