Wedding Festival Galichnik

Galichnik, Macedonia-- Family members dressed in traditional folk costumes and carrying torches lead the groom to the bride's home, where he will bargain with her family over the bride price during the weekend-long wedding festival in the Macedonian village of Galichnik. The festival is a chance for the decedents of villagers to reenact folk wedding traditions in this depopulated region.
