Blocking Taxi Drivers In Paris

Driving instructors brandish a large banner on which it reads "Driving schools will not go to the pan" in support of Taxi drivers during a major snail operation this Monday, May 20, 2019 in Paris on the highways and the Paris ring road to block the center of Paris to challenge the draft law LOM (Law on the Orientation of Mobilities) currently under consideration. Taxi drivers are calling for the suspension of this bill, which would strengthen unfair competition from VTCs and Uber in particular and the simple application of the Grand Guillaume Act. At the end of the day, the procession went to the National Assembly to try to be heard by the government. (Photo by Samuel Boivin/NurPhoto)
