Blocking Taxi Drivers In Paris

A taxi driver holds a red smoke in front of a flag of the SUD Taxi union during a major snail operation on Monday, May 20, 2019 in Paris on highways and the Paris ring road to block the center of Paris to challenge the LOM (Loi d'Orientation des Mobilités) bill currently under consideration. Taxi drivers are calling for the suspension of this bill, which would strengthen unfair competition from VTCs and Uber in particular and the simple application of the Grand Guillaume Act. At the end of the day, the procession went to the National Assembly to try to be heard by the government. (Photo by Samuel Boivin/NurPhoto)
