Historic Strike Day In The Parisian Metro

At Chatelet station on metro line 4, some of the platforms are deserted after the closure to traffic in mid-morning while the other awaits the last train of the morning before closing on Friday, September 13, 2019, while all the unions of RATP, the Parisian transport authority that operates the capital's metro lines, have started a strike to protest against the reform of pension schemes and the end of their special schemes. Most of the metro lines in Paris were disrupted, including 10 completely closed metro lines. Parisians anticipated the strike by limiting their travel as much as possible and by taking a day off or dealing with telework. In fact, the transport was almost deserted.
