Historic Strike Day In The Parisian Metro

RATP employees are closing the access gates to the platforms at Chatelet station as traffic has just been interrupted during the strike on Friday, September 13, 2019, while all the unions of RATP, the Paris transport authority that operates the capital's metro lines, have started a strike to protest against the reform of pension schemes and the end of their special schemes. Most of the metro lines in Paris were disrupted, including 10 completely closed metro lines. Parisians anticipated the strike by limiting their travel as much as possible and by taking a day off or dealing with telework. In fact, the transport was almost deserted.
