Police Unions Protest Against Working Conditions

Protesters from the SGP Unity Police union marched with union flags on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, during the police demonstration in Paris at the call of the majority of police unions (including Alliance National Police and SGP Police Unit) for the "Marche des angeres" between the Place de la Bastille and Place de la République. This historic event day, which brought together more than 20,000 police officers, aimed to raise awareness about working conditions and the lack of police resources, but especially about the historically high suicide rate and the number of unpaid overtime hours.
