Selkirk, UK. 16.Jun.2022. Selkirk Common Riding 2022. Thursday, The Night afore the Morn. RBSB Nichol and his attendants look on from the Town Hall as Senior Burgh Officer, Mr Graeme Bell led by the Flute band, preambles the streets starting in the West Port, at 1830hrs, stopping at significant junctions while walking a circuit of the Market Place, High Street, Back Row, Kirk Wynd for the “Crying of the Burley” and then onwards to the Victoria Halls, for the United Crafts Colour Bussin. At 2000hrs during the proceedings the Selkirk Ex-Royal Burgh Standard Bearers form up in a parade to march to the "Fletcher Memorial" and lay a wreath and mark respects for the history and traditions of the Common Riding.
