International Women's Day In Toulouse

Thousands of women and men are taking to the streets of Toulouse on March 8th 2023 for International Women's Day, with the motto focusing on sexism, salary differences, and sex violence. One important theme of the gathering is the planned pensions reform, which will result in women losing money and having to work several more years without taking time off to educate children counting towards their pensions. Currently, the difference in pensions between women and men is around 30%. Protesters are also denouncing rapes, sex violence, and violence towards women, with trade unions such as CGT, FSU, and Unsa in attendance. A queer holds a placard reading ''You Can't Put Out Young Women on Fire''.
