International Women's Day In Toulouse
Thousands of women and men are taking to the streets of Toulouse on March 8th 2023 for International Women's Day, holding cardboard reading 'Liberty, Equality, Femininity' and 'Girl = boy'. The motto of this year's gathering is about sexism, salary differences and sex violence, with a particular focus on the planned pensions reform, which will result in women losing money and having to work several more years without taking time off to educate children. Currently, the difference in pensions between women and men is around 30%. Protesters are also denouncing rapes, sex violence and violence towards women, with trade unions such as CGT, FSU and Unsa in attendance.
