Youth For Climate Took To The Streets In Toulouse

Activists are using microphones in front of a banner reading ''Stop Concrete'' in Toulouse, France, on March 11th, 2023. Following Greta Thunberg's call for a World School Strike and ''Fridays for Future,'' Youth for Climate and other collectives and NGOs have taken to the streets to denounce governments' inaction towards the climate crisis, even after the 6th IPCC assessment report. The window to keep the temperature under +1.5?C is rapidly closing, as precised in the IPCC report, and they are also protesting the lack of action against the environmental crisis. This year in Toulouse, the motto is against concreting and for islands of freshness in summer in cities. Several collectives, such as ''La Voie Est Libre'' (against the planned A29 highway between Toulouse and Castres), ''No to the Rivel ZAC,'' and Extinction Rebellion, are present.
