A response effort is underway after the Russian rocket attack in Kharkiv, Ukraine, on August 6, 2024. Russians are striking a dense residential area in the central part of Kharkiv on Tuesday morning, August 6. At least five people are being injured. Students and supporters are chanting slogans for a ceasefire, ''Free Palestine,'' and ''Hands off Rafah,'' while holding banners with similar messages. Thousands of demonstrators supporting Palestine are continuing to fill the streets, marching through the city center of Amsterdam and concluding at the UvA's administrative center, Maagdenhuis, at Spui. The situation has escalated with the intervention of mobile units of riot police and dogs, leading to clashes between students and police officers. The protest has culminated in a silent sit-in. Injuries and three arrests have been reported amid the unrest in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on May 9, 2024.
