The Shakya Pagoda of Buddha Palace Temple, recognized as the world's oldest pure wooden structure, is standing in Shuozhou, China, on March 13, 2024. The pagoda, towering at 67.31 meters with a base diameter of 30.27 meters and weighing over 7400 tons, is the only remaining ancient tall pure wooden structure of its kind. Remarkably, the entire tower is constructed without a single iron nail, relying solely on interlocking wooden components. The Konark Sun Temple is being seen in Konark, Odisha, on February 24, 2024. This 13th-century CE Sun temple, dedicated to the Hindu Sun God Surya, is located about 35 kilometers northeast of Puri city on the coastline in Puri district, Odisha, India. The remaining structure of the temple complex resembles a 100-foot (30 m) high chariot with immense wheels and horses, all intricately carved from stone. Although once standing over 200 feet high, much of the temple is now in ruins, particularly the large shikara tower over the sanctuary, which used to rise much higher than the mandapa that still stands today.
