Royal servants, known as Abdi Dalem, from the Yogyakarta Palace are carrying Gunungan, which is shaped like a mountain and made of sticky rice, sweets, various foods, fruits, and vegetables, during the Grebeg Syawal tradition as part of the Eid al-Fitr celebration at Kauman Great Mosque in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on April 11, 2024. This tradition represents alms given by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X to his people in celebration of Eid al-Fitr. It is believed that receiving a part of the Gunungan brings good luck and blessings for the year ahead.
