Due to heavy rain during the landfall of cyclone YAAS, plenty of bookstalls were submerged and books were damaged due to waterlogged streets. Shopkeepers kept books on the empty roads for drying in Kolkata, India, on June 2, 2021. The Government has given several exception for some small retail shops during a lockdown imposed by West Bengal state to curb the spread of Covid-19 second wave.
