Barricaded Situation After Armed Robbery Report In Washington DC
Police tape is closing off the streets surrounding the barricade situation in the 2000 block of Georgia Avenue in Washington, DC, United States, on February 22, 2024. At approximately 8:06 a.m. on Thursday morning, a Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officer was flagged down for a potential armed robbery near 8th Street & Florida Avenue, NW. It was reported that two potential suspects ran into a building on the 2000 block of Georgia Ave and were barricading themselves inside.
