Barricaded Situation After Armed Robbery Report In Washington DC
Police tape is closing off streets surrounding the barricade situation, and a police vehicle is blocking the roadway. The barricaded situation is occurring in the 2000 block of Georgia Avenue in Washington, DC, United States, on February 22, 2024. At approximately 8:06 a.m. on Thursday morning, a Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officer was flagged down for a potential armed robbery in the area of 8th Street & Florida Avenue, NW. It was reported that two potential suspects ran inside a building in the 2000 block of Georgia Ave and were barricading themselves inside.
