Vasco Da Gama Bridge In Lisbon
A general view of the Vasco Da Gama Bridge is being shown in Lisbon, Portugal, on March 30, 2024. The Vasco da Gama Bridge is spanning the Tagus River in the Greater Lisbon area, connecting Montijo and Sacavem, near the Parque das Nacoes, where Expo '98 took place. Having been inaugurated on April 4, 1998, and with its 17 km (12 km of bridge and 5 km of viaducts), it held the title of the longest bridge in Europe until May 2018, when the Crimean Bridge surpassed it.
