Vasco Da Gama Bridge In Lisbon
The Vasco da Gama Bridge is standing during low tide in Lisbon, Portugal, on March 30, 2024. The bridge, a cable-stayed structure over the Tagus River in the Greater Lisbon area, connects Montijo and Sacavem, near the Parque das Nacoes, the site of Expo '98. Having been inaugurated on April 4, 1998, and spanning 17 km, including 12 km of bridge and 5 km of viaducts, it held the title of the longest bridge in Europe until May 2018, when the Crimean Bridge surpassed it.
