National Day Of Strikes And Protest In Public Education Sector
Protesters are staging a die-in in Toulouse, France, on April 2, 2024. All unions have called for a day of strike and protest to advocate for better wages and to demand an end to what they describe as the dismantling of public education, as well as to call for more resources and teachers. Nearly 6,000 people are demonstrating in a joint protest with all unions, including CGT, SUD, SNES, UNSA, and others, against what the French Prime Minister has termed the 'shock of knowledges', 'level groups', and the idea of mandatory uniforms up to university level.
