The Artigas Gardens, Gaudi little-known Park Guell
A caryatid of a man presides over the arched bridge in the Artigas Gardens in La Pobla de Lillet, Spain, on April 27, 2026. Designed by Antoni Gaudi between 1905 and 1906, the gardens feature plant motifs, grottoes, stone sculptures, and symbols of the four Evangelists. These elements are also present in Gaudi's Sagrada Familia. The gardens, largely unknown until Gaudi's authorship was confirmed in 1971, have become a major tourist attraction during the Gaudi Year celebrations. (Photo by Joan Valls/Urbanandsport/NurPhoto)
