Waterworld

Phumi Moat Khla, Tonle Sap, Cambodia. People living around the lake are extremely poor and depend on the lake for their survival. During recent years, the amount of fish caught has been steadily declining, which means peasants must work harder to provide for their families. The Tonle Sap Lake is situated in the heart of Cambodia and is South East Asia’s largest fresh water lake. The 1.5 million people that live their lives on the lake are an ethnically diverse population of Khmers, Cham, and Vietnamese who experience a life isolated from both the modern world and the progress that is happening in much of Cambodia. -- Go to http://www.nurphoto.com to see more
