Anti-racism Protest In Paris
A red heart-shaped balloon floats in front of the Republic statue and a Black Lives Matter sign brandished in the middle of the crowd of people who came to protest against racism on June 13, 2020 as several thousand people gathered on the Republic Square in Paris at the call of the "Truth for Adama" committee and Adama Traoré's sister, Assa Traoré, to participate in a demonstration against police violence. This event echoes the Black Lives Matter movement and the death of George Floyd in the USA as well as a new investigation into the case of Adama Traoré, who died in 2016 following his arrest for police custody. Many slogans called for Justice for Adama, BLM and denounced racism in the police. (Photo by Samuel Boivin/NurPhoto)
