Indigenous Activist Rally Outside Of Army Corps Of Engineers

Kevin Cramer, a Washington, D.C.-based activist and founder of the Palm Collective, leads Indigenous and ally activists in chants, while an activist scaled a flag pole outside the Army Corps of Engineers headquarters in downtown Washington, D.C. on October 12, 2021. The people delivered petitions with over 2 million signatures to the Corps, calling for the end of the expansion of the Line 3 Pipeline. The pipeline, which runs from Harditsy, Alberta, CA to Superior, WI, has spilled thousands of gallons of oil over the last 20 years. Oil pipelines that crisscross Indigenous land have also poisoned water sources and fields of wild rice. (Photo by Zach Brien/NurPhoto)
