International Women's Day In Toulouse

Thousands of women and men are taking to the streets of Toulouse on March 8th 2023 for International Women's Day, carrying placards reading 'We reclaim our rights'. The main themes of the gathering are sexism, salary differences, sex violence, and the planned pensions reform, which will leave women with less money and require them to work several more years without taking time off to care for children. Currently, the difference in pensions between women and men is around 30%. Protesters are also denouncing rapes and violence towards women. Trade unions such as CGT, FSU, and Unsa are also present at the march.
