President Frank-Walter Steinmeier of Germany is being guided through the divided city of Nicosia, Cyprus, by President Nikos Christodoulides and Mayor Constantinos Yiorkadjis, on February 12, 2024. They are visiting the old city of Nicosia, where the barricades that separate the Greek and Turkish sides, known as the ''Green Line,'' are visible. Nicosia remains the last divided European capital.
